I really do think that you need a outside perimeter ring for the doubling ,
some one could get hurt jumping over chairs and running up and down stairs
doubling like I saw in Oregon , Plus it is hard for the people who have paid
for a seat to see the dogs, with doublers running in front of them or just
standing there.

Christine,
You and Bart are so right. We will be there, but feel it does need
re-vamped. I feel that we should have the ring a bit smaller and a place on
the floor for people doubling dogs...as they do in Canada. It may speed
things up a bit more if the dogs are not worked so much, vs. when they are
worked you get a more quality pass out of them becuase the doubler is within
sight. It seems that the handlers cut the ring down reguardless if we make
it 500 feet vs. 750 feet...or whatever. WHy does that have to be such a big
problem? Cut down on the days, yet, get more quality out of the days we
are there....g.

Last night we had dinner with Bart and Cindy...we discussed this National
thing..and I asked him what his take on it...he said to quote him" it
needs
to be shorter..period..I might have to run a bit more..but that is one
less
day I have to be there to ex dogs and live out of a hotel room..if Canada
can do it..we should be able to and still have fun. I have not met anyone
who didn't have fun at the Canadian National. our National needs to be
more
exhibitor friendly." end of quote. I have fun when I go to the
National...I
don't have a dog in every single class..so that affords me some time to
shop..and visit..The interest in the Canadian National is growing..it is
shorter, it is nearly always centrally located..you can work puppies and
dogs on the sod without the "sod police" telling you to get off. the
atmosphere is much more "dog friendly" I love watching the dogs work at
the
end of the day..I would love to see people be able to work their 6-9
puppies the night before for a warm up. Your stating that your glass is
half full, give the impression that there is no room for improvement..and
if that is the case..you are right..mine must be half empty..however I am
offering suggestions..and have offered them to Board members..as have
others. I am not asking for things to be my way or the high-way..but am
  open to compromise.Christine
