[ SHOWGSD-L ] Spondylosis is Spondylosis - not DM

I lost my 1st champion at 14 1/2 years to this. X-rays showed bone spurs and 
arthritis between the discs.I don't believe this is the case with DM

You are correct
Spondylosis is a fairly common bone condition in older dogs. It is a chronic 
condition in which 
bone spurs form on the spine due to progressive disk degeneration.
Ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory disease that can cause some of the 
vertebrae in your 
spine to fuse together. This fusing makes the spine less flexible and can 
result in a hunched-forward 
posture in humans. It also occurs in dogs.
These are not the same is DM which is neurogenic rather than oseteogenic
