If the GSDCA wants to continue with the SV shows....or the SV wants to continue
having their shows in conjunction with our National ( depending on who is
giving us information ) <G> why don't they pay half the price for the
facilities and they have their 3-4 days of shows early in the week....and we
pay the other half for 3-4 days for our National later in the week?? That
would relieve the cost of sod, building, etc. and possibly free up the huge
expense to make it possible to go back to other locations.
Our National entry used to be HUGE and we got it done in three days! We
REALLY do not need the Arena from Tuesday thru Saturday! We could give up
the Specialty for the size of THAT entry and let the SV show be during that
time frame. We should be able to have our National in three days according to
the size of the entry we are seeing now..... Just keep it moving without so
many "dead spaces".
Right now IMO.....we have a huge exhausting week of National.....and an entry
not much bigger than our local Specialties used to be! It appears we are not
'adjusting' to the changes. It is just EASIER to just keep it at Purina and
say we MUST!!.
Also....in response to Theresa's post......be careful what you wish for. Are
we sure the SV programs will make a "huge contribution" to the GSDCA, Inc.
.... or HUGE DEMANDS!

Subject:Re: October Board Meeting
Most of the people that came to the Purina Farm GSDCA Sieger Show that showed
German GSDs last year were from the USA not Europe.
The Euro breeders and owners are use to traveling to compete with their GSDs so
use to traveling with their dogs so know just how to do it.
Talking to them there were handlers and breeders that came from Euro countries
to show their dogs but only a few Euro German GSDs came.
It is surprising the number of Imported German GSDs, USA breeders breeding the
German line dogs and the rise of people showing them with most joined or
joining the GSDCA. Which eventually the SV programs will be making a huge
contribution to the GSDCA patience will pay off.
