This is definitely something to keep and will share with others. It's always a bonus to have a vet who knows their stuff (more than I could ever know!!!) on a group list. I did not know that Wobbler's was actually cervical stenosis; I had always thought it was purely a neurological issue, and not having an orthopedic cause. Would you mind offering your professional opinion in regards to transitional vertebrae and breeding a dog who is affected with one (or more)? Is there really any difference so far as breeding, when the transitions are unilateral vs bilateral? And, do you think that having transitional vertebrae present that that dog will become affected with IVDD or CES just because? Or, does early intervention & management truly make a difference to where the dog never becomes clinical (or at an advanced age, say 11+ years)? Always curious and appreciative of any opinions and facts- Jen P & the Pack freezing in Wisconsin where my babysitted puppy proved that one's tongue will get stuck to metal when it's really cold. Poor thing!!! ;'-( I was spitting on her to unfreeze her since I didn't want to leave her to go in the house & get hot water while she was crying & stuck... But she was happy so soon as she was free (like 5 more seconds from when I got to her in the yard silly puppy went & licked my 5th wheel camper steps!) and there was no damage done. Give Thanks!
