We've always had 3 or 4 males in the house with our gang of females. The
only ones to stay in our kennel at night are the girls who are in heat.=20
Recently, **Nate** came to live with us (Eko-Lan's Fortune). At 20 mo., =
he
s never been a house dog so it's been a bit different around here
**humanizing him** (new word). Nate spends about 3 hrs. a the day with
Patent and me watching TV. He's making progress by being completely
housetrained, even in his indoor run in the kennel overnight. Also, I've
been obedience training him, creating a bond between us so that he will
understand his boundaries and be calm and submissive. =0D

If you've ever watched *Cesar Millan* (Dog Whisperer), you will better
understand how my dogs live together. He has a wonderful Website.=20

I hope everyone will respond to the list on Tina's question below. This =
is
very interesting to me, as is the "male problem" thread. I am considerin=
g
keeping my first male. He is 3 mo old today. Since I also have two youn=
g
bitches, this seems like a disaster waiting to happen! I have owned and
raised many bitches. Normally, I would not keep a male. But, he's nice!=
=20
What to do and how to do it? I've thought about a co-owner, but he has
worked his way on me! I have a small house and yard and a couple of runs=
=2E=20
Could it be as simple as taking down an apple tree, putting a third run i=
n
its place, boarding him when the bitches are in season, and hoping the
neighbors don't report me to the City for having too many dogs? Moving i=
s
not an option for two years. It sounds a little crazy. But, he's nice!=20
What would you do?=0D
