I have a male and a female.? The male is the most loving and puts up with all
the female gives him including dragging him around by his collar and taking
every toy.? He loves her.? When she came in heat he was going nuts.? I put him
with my friend and he tried to escape one night.? Luckily he went up to my Son
in law who caught him. I got real smart and now send the female to my friends.?
She is very happy there and he loves to stay with Mom.

If you do decide to keep him, make sure you have a cement run, with a LID for
him since he WILL try to escape to get to your girls. I had a friend with an
intact male, and her dog actually broke through a pain glass window SEVERAL
times when her neighbros bitch was in heat. He was actually known by the
police
for all his antics. I have my own sad story of a male I owned years ago, and
he
busted through my front door on several occassion, would climb our 6' ft fence
to get to the neighbor's girl. When we decided to get a lid for the kennel
that coming weekend to keep him confined when the neighbors girls came in heat
he climbed out, and broke his neck on the fall down. Being a newbie I was
clueless then on his behavior, but now I know. Just make sure you know what you
are getting yourself into, and take evry step to ensure a secure place for your
boy when those girls come in heat.
If it were me I would place the male in a show home that you can breed too.
I
am in the same situation as you are, in a small residential neighborhood, and
learned my lesson the hard way years ago as I said. I have Friends who have
males/bbithces, and have heard about their males barking, digging, refusing to
eat, howling when girls are in season because one of their females is near by &
in-heat (they don;t even have to see them). Just something very difficult to
deal with in a residental neighborhood unless you have the property /facility
to
deal with. Trust me, I know your heartache, I have a gorgeous male I kept
backand he will leave eventually since I don;t want to risk pissing off my own
neighbors later or dealing with bitcheds in season/and his potentilal behavior
myself.
