I think that may be stretching the rules a bit regarding JR.
I feel absolutely HORRIBLE about this turn of events.

The FACTS are:
JR DID NOT PICK-UP HARLEY at ANY show!!
I PRE-PAID Jerry Guzman to show Harley at the SP Maturity; Jerry came =
up to me, after the Futurity judging and before the Maturity judging, =
and said that he was in too much pain to take Harley, and his other =
Maturity entry(s) in. He mentioned another handler that he thought =
he might ask to help us out; I told him I would prefer that he see if =
JR could take Harley in FOR Jerry. JR, lucky for me, was able to =
take Harley in, in an emergency situation, as a favor to Jerry. JR =
was NOT hired by me nor any of Harley's other co-owners. JR did not =
and would not bill me for that day; he had NO legal right to do so. =
JR had NO contract with ME, implied or otherwise. Jerry Guzman, =
Tiffany Bartley, and Michelle Cassidy have been, and are, my only =
hired handlers on Harley to this date. =
My personal opinion is that the intent of the AKC rule does not apply =
to this type of situation. I NEVER would have done this to JR, nor =
to Tedi!! JR did not even know that Tedi was a co-owner on Harley. =
An aside...I offered to contact AKC, show them my canceled check, and =
ask for a ruling regarding JR showing under Tedi. JR, being the =
gentleman I have always known him to be in all of our dealings, told =
me to let it go. It is hard for me to let things go...when I see a =
windmill to tilt with, I tend to go for it. =
Now you know the rest of the story. If the AKC rule applies to this =
type of situation, I think it stinks and this dog-show business isn't =
smelling too good either.
