As I recall, there was a tie to that much red and some health realted
deficiencies, IBD or something of that nature, anyone out there that can confirm

WOW.........hate to sound naive.....but HOW....HOW do they get so much depth of
"color" in these
dogs that there is not even the lighter shades under the belly and inside of
the neck as we normally
see here? Is this real.......or did someone forget to close the spray
bottle??
I've never seen GSD where the red does not 'lighten" a shade on the underneath
side of the tail
and belly and neck..........?? <G>
Regarding the movement.........any time you see a literal 'hole' or 'dip'
where the choke chain is
attached to the leash......the dog is REALLY pulling into the leash and the
stride is not 'natural'....but
the dog is being held up by the handler with a taut leash and the dog can lean
into it to give the impression
of length of stride.
( much like leaning forward as you push your little brother in his little red
wagon.....take away the
wagon for support and you fall on your face because your stride pushing into
the wagon is not
natural.......) <G>
Sure can't argue the heads.........they are AWESOME!!! Same with coats and
bone.....BEAUTY!!

To my relatively "newbie eyes," those movement shots are at least in
SOME respects, nicer than many I've seen published in the Review,
although perhaps in one of them he might be kicking up some behind? I
think he's got a masculine head. His length to height proportions are
about 8.9 to 10, so he is somewhat too "square" according to the AKC
standard. The biggest problem for me is that I do not like his topline.
In fact I'm disappointed. I thought I'd heard they were making
improvements in that area.
I'm not bashing (or promoting)--just trying to perhaps open a line of
discussion from which I can LEARN something. Anyone care to educate me?
[Particularly if you've seen him in person.] Off list is
fine--preferable, in fact, if you plan to call me an idiot.
