The Standard says a lot about what to expect with this dog.
"CHARACTER - The Black Russian Terrier should have a sound character with
strong nerves, but with rather high sharpness. He is lively with strong
reactions to outside irritations. He should never be insecure or lack
confidence, or be nasty. He is reserved and suspicious around strangers."
There are some "clue" words in the standard that should give one pause,
(or paws), when considering this dog. "Strong nerves", "high sharpness',
and "suspicious". All would make me think he is more like Flower Boy than me.
I wonder if Donald Trump has one, and that is what all this talk about his
relationship to Russians is all about?

Yes, I know a person who switched from GSDs to now having multiple Black
Russian Terriers. Tough dogs and you have to get one from a good Breeder who
really knows what qualities to breed for. Not a dog for the average person.
