About 6 weeks ago a four year old bitch I co-own was spayed due to severe Pyometra. She was fine until about 5 days ago. Now every time she is touched she screams out like she is in pain. She has no fever, gums pink, good appetite, good stool. Her incision looks fine. I don't know what they did on the inside..but they used glue to close the spay incision, so no stitches on the outside. The vet is at a loss. She thinks the bitch is having some kind of hormonal reaction. Has anyone seen anything like this? She appears to be truly in severe pain when touched even lightly.
