Years ago, I was showing a dog. Nice dog at an All Breed. The judge put
him 2nd do the end and the dog at the end was another nice dog. Both of
these dogs needed only one or two points to finish.
This judge told my handler to never ever bring such an awful specimen of a
GSD to him again and that she should have known better.
My dog finished the next weekend and placed in the group both days he one,
took his majors at specialities and 2nd American Bred at the nationals the
year before, the other dog that was dead last went on to finish with a
major I think at a specialty a few weeks later and then on to his ROM. The
dog
this judge put up that day was given points number 31 & 32 and NEVER
FINISHED.... Sometimes they just don't know what a good dog is.
And I think if a judge withholds a ribbon it should be explained as they
better know what they are talking about when they do it however, a little bit
of tacked is needed in the explaination.

I can't imagine him saying that, but maybe he did...still, there are
easier ways to tell someone when showing a dog is a waste of time and
money..........
