I've always loved the breed ring/still do. I've been in the breed ring many
times. But there have been a few times I've been completely confused over a
judges' final decision. One time while showing my GSD who won winners dog
the day before, then the next day showing just as well the judge picks a dog
that was limping excessively on its right front leg. Making a comment
afterwards that the dog must have a slight case of pano which could be
normal? What a disgrace for my dog that was completely sound! Another time
showing my standard sized bitch winning so many times in the breed ring that
particular judge puts a bitch up that was huge compared to mine. Of course I
had to be right in back of her in the lineup. Politely after we left the
ring I asked the judge what she didn't like about my bitch? I want to learn.
She said, "Your shepherd is too small to herd even though she traveled very
