When we take a dog into the ring, we are asking for that judges' opinion.
We may not always like the answer, but that is what we are asking for and he
gave it.

I have a friend who has West German bred dogs. She showed her 16 month old
female yesterday at the Detroit Kennel Club. She really should not be shown
in the AKC ring because she is not the right type. My friend loves her dog
and she wanted to have some fun with her. She took her in the ring herself.
They do UKC usually. Instead of not saying anything or handing her a red
ribbon instead of a blue one because she was the only one in her class he
said to my friend......save your money and buy yourself a better dog. He
really hurt her feelings and I am sorry...but I think that he was way out of
line. He did not have to say anything. My friend just left my house a few
minutes ago and told me this and she looked at me and said " it makes you
not ever want to go back and show any dogs ever again ". I think that judges
should keep their opinions to themselves sometimes. This man was a total
jerk right from the start and it just amazes me that he found the good ones
to put up...b
ut he did!!!
