Then there was the part about Bart "trying" to attend the counting of
the votes. What
was all that about? Either we have a Director there or we don't..."try"
doesn't come into
it...that sounds a bit like "a little bit pregnant." Either you do it or you
don't...either you are or
you are not. There is no "try." Get it done or don't talk about it. And that
is NOT an
aspersion against Bart...!
There is not only no common sense, it seems as tho there is no sense at
all anymore.
If the current ballots come in and the total numbers seem to be in line
with past years, why
do we need another election, anyway? And if there's to be another election,
why is anyone
talking about having a Director at the counting of the ballots? Does this
group do anything
besides spend money?
I'm sad that things have come to this point...all I can say now is we
as a club are in
danger of joining the Pekingese club and the other clubs that have been
sanctioned by the
AKC. It's time to clean house...I hope the election does that...if not, I
don't know how
anything is going to be straightened out. I've been hearing that the 2008
National could be in
jeopardy...believe me, the AKC doesn't need a year to prepare to sanction a
club. They
could decide to walk into the show building on Wednesday morning and just shut
us
down...and send everyone home. Then, my friends, we will be in very deep kim
chee, and
we have no one to lead us out of this morass.............WHAT A BLOODY MESS
