Perhaps a meals per diem should be paid up front.. E.G. the $35/day.. then
if the handler consumes those fancy meals, wine, drinks etc.. they don't
have the option of tacking it on the handling bill - If they choose to eat
at McD's all weekend, then the handler ends up with extra cash in their
pocket....I would ask for the receipts ( hotel, gas,air)as well..I will bet
you dollars to donuts that MANY handlers claim those expenses that you paid
for on their tax return..The client pays the expenses, the client should get
to claim it on their tax return..
