Well, I strongly disagree with this. I think any dog can get fleas, regardless of their 'immune system'. Dogs that are kept in terrible conditions frequently get fleas, not because of their immune system, but because these types of owners do not care if they get fleas, and do nothing about them. I have very healthy dogs who live generally to age 12, and on occasion they have gotten fleas. I don;t personally know anyone who has not had fleas at one time or another in their dogs.
