Mo, you are oblivious about the cost of camera and printing equipment, time to process/cost of computer and applications, not to speak of the cost of ink to fill the photo printer. The photo mailers are not so cheap either, and then there is the actual mailing. $2 is not going to do it. I have never run into a "sitting fee", but $28 for an 8 x 10 is reasonable and within what most show photographers charge. I think it is a good idea, at least the photographer gets paid for his/her time involved. Photography is my hobby. My very expensive hobby. If I sell a few pictures, I don't figure I am making any profit at all. Wedding photographers make money, dog show photographers, not so much. You have to love it.
