Yes, no trespassing or trespassers will be prosecuted are approved.

I had a sign years ago friends from work gave me
FORGET THE DOG, BEWARE OF OWNER.
My insurance agent loved it.

I was told to just put up a “Dogs on Grounds” or some such. That is a warning,
but not a directed warning. Yes, Penny, that’s what I heard, too, to never put
up those great (My dogs can reach this fence in … seconds, can you?” or "Beware
Of Dog” Or even “Dog On Duty” Or that sign with a dog with its teeth bared.
It all implies that you have a dangerous dog.

However, you can put up a No Trespassing sign (rules for that, too) and that
covers you, I was told.

How many out there in shepherd-land have "Beware of Dog" signs or other such
warnings on your property? The reason I ask is that recently in one of my horse
magazines I read of a case where a "Don't Touch The Horses" sign at a farm in
CT helped prove a prosecutor's (vicious horse) case. A small boy was held up
by his father to pet a horse inside a paddock, despite the prominent sign on
the fence telling people not to do this. The boy was bitten in the cheek and
required several surgeries and is scarred for life. (Naturally, as human
beings we feel terrible for this boy.) The parents sued AND WON. The
prosecutor argued that THE SIGN meant that the owners of the farm KNEW their
horses could act in a vicious manner.

This has troubled me ever since I read it. Years ago, I remember an attorney
giving a talk about "signs" at a dog club. She said that under no
circumstances should any kennel or dog facility put up Beware of Dog signs, as
the sign would be acknowledging there could be a possible problem. I post no
signs. I've luckily never had an issue. How do the rest of you feel?
