Thank You Kathaleen, that would be me too.
Growing up, we had lots and lots of animals. I remember when my kids were
younger, and my brother lived with us, we had 2 litters one year. One was 6
puppies, one was 13 puppies. This was a LONG time ago, and I am still
tired.....LOL. But of course, we bred both bitches, as they both had missed
in the
past, who would've thought????
With 6 people in the house, I still don't know how we survived. It was sad
to see the puppies go, but what a relief. I swore right there and then that I
would NEVER again put myself, my family and my dogs in that situation. It
was hard on everyone.
To think any one person is out there breeding for numbers, well, that is
senseless to me. But I am factoring in family time, vacations, both me and my
husband have very consuming full time jobs. I am factoring in real life. And I
am also factoring in that these animals are treated with love and care, in our
house they are not just numbers.
So, as someone suggested earlier, that I was ill equipped to support the
proposed breeders code, because I don't do enough breedings to be considered a
real "breeder", maybe is the other way around, some wont sign a new code
because, perhaps, they are breeding too much.
Every coin has two sides, you know?
