We had a fun weekend in Shreveport--but I wanted to make one correction.
14-year old Ashley handled Hope's bitch Nikki in Winners on Friday for her
first point. Ashley did a great job helping Greg all weekend. She showed his
Am-bred dog in Winners every day and received RWD all three days. She was also
busy helping Laurie Jeff Greer show Collies. She is turning into quite the
all-breed handler! She also helped groom our newest boy, Liebchen's Night
Fever (Dakota) for his first weekend out, and our 6-month old Aussie puppy as
well. She will be training Dakota to be her new Juniors dog once CH Nash
retires. Dakota is by BIF, BIM Saterhaus Badboy of Nordlicht x Windmill's
Livin' On A Prayer. Ashley showed perfectly in Juniors all weekend, but only
received a second place (out of 9) in Open Intermediate on Saturday. It is SO
hard to win with a GSD in Juniors! But, our 11-year old, Holly, won her Open
Junior class all 3 days with Windmill's Synchronicity (Sting), and re
ceived some wonderful compliments from several professional handlers that were
watching. They were proud of her for handling a difficult dog so well, instead
of taking the easy route that so many juniors do by selecting a small breed.
We are definitely proud of both girls as well!
