Carolyn's and all, I would really like to caution you about critiquing from
photos.
Having gone to x-ray school and worked in imaging anatomy for years, I know
as a photographer (of anatomy) that if I am not shooting dead straight on
100% I can shorten and elongate bones and anatomy. I can distort many things
using different angles that I shoot from. Even subtle angles.
With photography unless you know a picture was taken straight on 100% you
most definitely are not seeing the true anatomy of a dog.
I realize what your saying is important and the photography aspect is not
the whole idea of your conversation but everytime I hear someone critique
from photos I feel compelled to let them know you can do many many things
with photography including distorting or making something look better than
it really is.
