I have not made it a secret that I love Dexter. I made it a point to get
Summer to put her hands on the dog at the National, and she still talks
about it.
When you hear rumors about a dog, call the owner. I don't know where the
idea comes from that everyone lies. I find that most of those I talk to
will tell me the truth. Perhaps it is just me, but I want to believe people,
and it seems to work.
If you do find breeders lie to you, then just find other breeders. When
you deal with people like Jane Kerner, and when you can call Jack Newton
your friend, and when you get to spend time with Pat Draper every week, and
when you can visit with the Khatibs, when you can find Iliana to talk to at
the National, when you can sit with Flower Boy at a show, you will find
yourself with great faith in our breed.
