A carrier? That would imply that there is some research-based proof I haven't
seen that bloat/torsion are genetic. I know that many people (including
myself) believe they are probably genetic, but I am uncomfortable with words
like "carrier" until and unless we have some real proof. Otherwise, it is too
easy to wind up pointing fingers at individual dogs and breeders. Perhaps I am
behind in my reading, and a genetic marker has been discovered. If so, please
send me a link to the research. A "carrier" has to carry something like a
dominant or recessive gene. That piece seems to be missing.
