Very well said.
Your post contains the thoughts and wishes of many of us.? I too wish for our
club and the list to have peace.? Unfortunately, we have to deal with some
uneasy situations and I think our membership needs to be involved in and
informed of these situations.? I have no doubt that each and every one of our
Board members are VERY hard working individuals, especially Lew.? I do believe
we, the membership, as a right to ask questions and expect appropriate
responses.?? That is all that I ask.

I'm sorry if my post appears that way to anyone. I do what I can to write
clearly. After all of these years as both a list administrator, and now just
a
lister, I would hope that most everyone knows that I worked hard to help
create the Showgsd-l, and that I worked even harder to keep it viable. I am
not
a board member and I do not presume to know what they were thinking when
they asked Margy to resign. Unlike some of you who claim to be hearing both
sides of the story, I've only seen one side, more than once. I know Margy
better than most, and she is quite capable of defending herself when the
hearing
is held. Margy and I have not always agreed on everything, but we were able
to work together for a very long time, and so I'm sure she is not surprised
that I disagree with Evan's decision to use the list to try this case, and
Ken's case, in a court of public opinion. Nothing is going to change my
opinion
on this issue and I'm sure that even Evan respects my right to say so. I
have done so well within list rules, which I helped write.
I am merely asking for peace on the list, and within the GSDCA. There are
very good reasons for that. First, and most important, is the general
attitude of club membership. We should be looking to the club and working for
the
club to better the breed and the breed's status in the dog world. Do any of
you really think all of this bickering is going to accomplish that? Second
... Eventually the AKC is going to get as sick and tired of all of this as
many
of us are, and that will only mean serious problems for the GSDCA. Like it
or not, we exist through the AKC. Also ... I have been posting, clearly
asking for the accusations to stop. I have not even attempted to defend
anyone
beyond posting that people make mistakes, which was meant to defend everyone,
yet someone who respects me is wondering "who I am protecting?" I have to
say, the atmosphere on this list must be at a new low if anyone thinks I have
underlying reasons in asking for peace.
