[ SHOWGSD-L ] Sentiments

There have been some very eloquent and heartfelt posts on the list concerning
this situation. As someone previously posted there are about 1000 members on
this showlist and 3000 members in the parent club. I would love to see some of
these posts sent to the Review Editor for publication. What better way for the
MEMBERSHIP to see that we are not happy with what has happened. There are
many members who are not aware of what has happened. While I respect the BOD,
and consider them dedicated to the breed I do not agree with what has been
done. While people are assuring that it is being fixed, I still can't get past
the facts of the matter which are:
9 board members voted Yes to allow Mr. Hunte in, which means they considered
him worthy of membership in the club. While we have heard from 2 of the board
members concerning their yes vote, one member felt that his vote was the best
decision he could make. I have to assume that the members who voted yes feel
the same, that they were justified in their yes vote. What makes everyone
think that they want to change from their original decision? Why is everyone
assuming that they now have buyers remorse? If some member have now changed
their minds because of the backlash and public outcry then I say why didn't
they listen to us before the vote? There were petitions signed, letters
written, nearly every kind of communication made to get the membership's
opinion to them before the vote.
I hope they can come up with a solution, but if the majority of the board feel
they made the correct one what is going to change?
But I would like to encourage those folks who have expressed their thoughts so
well to ask Susan to publish those thoughts for all of the membership to see!
