While this might be good intentions to make sure the puppy is in a good
home I think it would send some good homes right to the puppy mill down the
road where they don't require this..
I know of breeders who want you to sign a contract requiring you feed a
certain food and limit exercise to a certain size area with a time limit as
well. Do they sell thier pups? More or less. Some they end up giving away
and some people do feel more secure with a breeder like this, although a
limited amount.
I think its better to be honest about what you want for your puppies.
Allow people to visit and get to know them, you'll have a better
relationship with your customers that way, especially if something does go
wrong.
As I write this I'm thinking of the Jon and Kate Plus 8 show. Would those
folkes have passed your test? and how would you feel about the pups being
kept in the garage and away from Kate? Does the family really interact with
those dogs? Wouldn't you have gotten a better idea of how the pups would be
treated if they family had made visits while the pups were growing up? Sue
