Actually, now all 3 levels are completely off lead for obedience and
protection. (Tracking, of course, is on a line.) But for obedience and
protection, you must enter the field, check in with the judge, and perform
your routine off lead. In the obedience phase, this means that you and your
dog are reporting in with another dog/handler team. (One will do the honor
down while the other performs.)
