Hey everyone,
Linda, the girls and I are fine. We still have electricity. But, out of
cable. So, we can't see any pictures. Still raining and windy. As I thought
the
whole eye would hit Louisiana. This is the 3 storm this year to hit us. Down
south of Thibodaux, there is server flooding. They did open a pet shelter in
Houma, I will try to check this out in a couple of days if possible. We have
been getting Rita since Thursday. Winds did pick up last night from about
8pm to 5am. Our monitor said 20 mph to 40 mph at times. I hope DD and Bonnie
are okay. They are in between Lake Charles and Lafayette. If you guy remember
from Katrina, winds and storm surge is on the east side of the hurricane. But,
the are that Rita is hitting is not as populated as the area that Katrina
hit. Katrina was pretty much a 16 hours for us here in Thibodaux. Rita as been
more than 24 hours so far.
They had several tornados touch down in the area. New Orleans and
Mississippi area had a bunch of casinos in those area they lost. Lake Charles I
think
has 3 of them. And, look where Rita hits.
All the dogs are fine. I did have a leak in the roof. Not bad. Tree limbs
are down. I will touch back later on.
God has a plan.
