Old time GSD people knew him and Schipperke people know him.
T. Hall Keyes III, Fran’s husband of many years and the other half of the
Nanhall prefix, passed away this morning at the age of 89 years. Hall was a
giant in the dog world for over 50 years, a kind and true gentleman. Hall was a
great teacher and willingly shared that information with anyone who wanted to
learn. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone, but one thing for
sure – anyone who messed with Fran was on Hall’s bad side as well. He didn’t
believe in harsh corrections for the dogs, but the dogs all respected him and I
never saw one of them challenge him.
Hall Keyes will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Hall.
