I met Ms. Walter when I was showing my dog in Canada...we both had the same
handler, the late great PeterFaucher!......Peter told me that my dog's main
competition that weekend would be from his, ( Caren's) 9-12 puppy...Cedar's
Schubert.....well I was lucky to beat that future great dog two of the three
days...two weeks later we returned to Canada hoping to finish my Boss
son.....Caren was so gracious to me....I noticed that her dog was not entered
the first day and I asked her why....she smiled and stated to me that in her
opinion my dog would finish the first show and she liked her chances the next
two days with my dog out of the way....God bless Caren....I finished and she
went WD the next two days...several months later at the Canadian National in
Vancouver, I spoke again with Ms. Walters, and got to see Peter take Schubert
to CANADIAN SELECT under Ms Cappy Pottle!....last time I ever saw all three of
them.....it pained me to miss this past Canadian National....I love the
Canadians....and never ever forget what they did for our stranded US citizens
after 9/11/01........incidentally that Canadian National was just a few weeks
after 9/11/01.........the best thing about showing dogs is the experience you
get from some special people....Caren was one of them......Ed Hill
