I FORBID my Mother from getting my sister's kids another dog when they were
growing up. They would get a dog, do NO training whatsoever and dump the dog
at the pound when it became destructive, or barked all the time out of
boredom. After my placing their last one ( a VERY large male Golden) I told
her
if they got another dog I was taking it and placing it immediately.
