You have to admit though that some people would be led to believe and even
want their dogs to be "smooshy" (we are talking about anything over about 12
mos) because lets face it....how many times have we seen judges pratically maul
a dog, with grabbing, hugging, whomping, or forcing eye contact by
manhandling the head into position....even removing the lead from the
handler's
control!!!!! What is the point of any of this? Are these people not well
versed
in correct approach, and moreover in correct -to- standard temperement and
character? Why do they force the issue, even on dogs clearly sound and
correct?
I have witnessed this soooo many times in ABs and Specialties, from small
shows to the National.
