Today, at a press conference called in Reno, Nevada, the ever popular High
Sierra's Camelot v Lealynn announced that he is a candidate for the
Presidency of The United States of America.
After studying the profiles and statements of the Democratic and Republican
candidates who have already announced their candidacy and those who are
posturing to follow suit, "Sir" as he is affectionately called, met with his
supporters and felt like the time was right for some sound minded
leadership. It is quite obvious, said his press manager, that temperament
within the existing ranks of politicians is below the bar expected in the
breed ring or in any election of this magnatude. "It is time," he said,
"that we dispell the confusion that exists in our nation at this critical
time and bring someone into the Oval Office that will be clear in purpose,
sound in judgment and unswerving in leadership."
This announcement comes on the heals of similar announcements by candidates
who were for the war, until that became unpopular, then were against it
until asked what they intended to do, then decided on a surge, until they
decided on a withdrawal, until they considered the ramifications of the
re-establishment of the Ottoman Empire. Opposing candidates took the same
course in inverse directions leaving "Sir" no choice than to enter the race.
His foreign policy is very clear and very simple: Love those in your
household unto death - be kind to all, but aloof - and if they need biting,
do it good, do it quick and leave no questions about it!
"Sir" will be campaigning at dog shows throughout the West Coast this Spring
and Summer, and possibly nationally in October, right before the November
elections.
