Also with the close for Futurity entries having been 4pmEST (7pm PST)
the "late AM " notification would have been AMPLE time to allow people to
make a decision
as to whether they wanted to go there. Since Rau allows fax use to enter,
they could have withdrawn entry BEFORE close, or what have you, and re
-entered elsewhere or there, with Rau via fax.
Also , if Rita Sandell was alternate, and she was informed LONG ago that she
was doing Canadian Nationals...why didn't the Futurity heads or whomever sit
up and think" ohhh
we need to make sure we have an alternate that we can use since Rita is not
eligible"...
I am sure her judging Canada, was not "last minute " info.
We have no personal stake in this SP futurity, and I want to make that
clear. But I think the way it was handled was hugely unfair to those that
do , or, conversely would have liked to enter there.
I feel badly for them...showing dogs these days is difficult enough for
folks without this kind of stuff going on. It was needless.
