I received a private email about whether or not some of our past great old
judges would approve of my selections at the Nationals. The following is my
reply:
"Quite frankly, I don't care who approves and who doesn't. My decision is the
only one that counts. We all have our "timeline" in the breed. Since all
breeds change and evolve, even with a standard, what was then, is NOT now.
When someone's "eye for a dog" does not change and the breed does, they need to
either quit the sport or watch and learn and change with it."
