I think a lot depends on the part of the country... or maybe just the
town. When I was in Longmont, CO, the people in the P.O. were Waaaay
nice, the mail delivery was excellent. There was such a good feeling
in the P.O. that you wanted to smile and say thank you and please.
They had P.O annexes in a couple of Hardware stores scattered about
the town, too. Just a counter and nice people.
Of course, I get the same nice in the graciousness in the tiny P.O.
where I live now, but in Palmdale or Lancaster, the "big" P.O.s have
that same kind of " aren't you through yet?" or "sigh.. I'm here for
you..... sorta." And because of the home delivery, I have a box, too.
