Personally I would not feel comfortable with my dog being left in a closed up
air conditioned vehicle for the simple reason that the AC can stop and then
what.? I would rather take my chances in a vehicle with windows and doors open
for ventilation.? When I am on the road and it is very hot, the windows etc are
open and the dogs are checked on periodicaly?either by me or someone in our
group.

You are exactly right Peggy.?? And for those who have said that they wouldn't
send their dogs with a handler unless they were kept in a vehicle with an a/c
unit - there have been multiple incidents where big name all breed handlers
have
had a/c units go out and 10+ dogs have died in those vehicles!?? I believe this
situation happened to the same all breed handler twice?????????????????

Not to make light of it, but this happens every year somewhere in our dog
show world. It just usually doesn't make the news.
Apparently the kid was quite a successful handler...wonder what will
happen now...altho as I recall, losing dogs (more than 7) hasn't hurt the
other handlers to whom this tragedy occurred.
