Make me sick too- had a black angus shot once -had to stop walking my dogs
in the fields for fear we would be shot. Already had a young boy shot and
killed by a relative hunting in Illinois.- We do not allow hunting on the
farm but fences do not seem to mean anything to a lot of people

This Makes me SICK. I know locally here it sounds like a WAR ZONE. I do
NOT let any dogs loose but for the closed fenced areas this week. I know
that if a hunter even sees a big dog in the woods they will usually shoot to
kill, as they are mad that they will be Chasing Away thier Trophy's..and NOT
worried about the dogs. The one year, I was out doing the pens and a bullet
litteraly flew past me and hit the wall!! I called the police, they came
and couldn't find the guy, or a car, but found where he was in the back yard
about 50 feet into the woods. The Deer by my house are smart right now.
They come closer to the back yard to KEEP away from the Hunters.

The dog that ran away from its handler on Sunday has been fund. Alas, shot
by
hunters.
Although found today, he was shot Monday, and the person who accidentally
shot
him did not
report it. This person can be charged with shotting a police officer if
they
are found.
This is sad.
While I personally believe a dog that is sound sensitive does not make a
great
police dog, he
probably could have made an excellent PET.
