Yes you may post my commentsUnfortunately, some members in our club have
misunderstood our motives.
There are some who do not understand our function and have started a rumor
that we are trying take over, replace or add people to committees. This is
not true.
As members of the B/F committee we need to set the record straight. We are
not in the business of adding, changing or in any way telling a committee
what or how to do their job.
Our job is fact find, gather information and come up with ideas and
answers that will help committees be better. We must also put together a
budget
that the club can live with for three years.
We need to drive home the problems we are facing. The budgets for 2011,
2012 and 2013 will be much larger than normal because of the added
expenses
of hosting a world trial and a centennial in 2013. They both will have
expenses over the next three years (2011 -2013).
That is why we need a 3 year budget. Everyone needs to grasp the gravity
of problem and pitch in to help.
Our goal is not to spend the savings account to pay for these two
activities. Therefore, we can not continue doing the same kind of budget.
Nor can
we continue to do business as usual. We need to raise revenues quickly.
Roughly speaking, we will need to add $10,000 to the 2011 budget, $15,000
to the 2013 budget and $30,000 to the 2013 budget to cover the added
expenses of both activities. These are estimates they may be higher when
we get
the budgets from the chairs.
Therefore, every committee must look for ways to generate revenue. Our
problem is more than cost cutting. We have a revenue problem and we
everyone�s
help.
