I say "Hooray" for the Parent club for making this rule for the Futurities. As a judge I , I know I would not want a dog in my ring that I bred. Whether I knew it or not. I also agree that the blame if you will, should fall on the exhibitor since they know who they are showing to. The Judge doesn't always know who's dog is in the ring. If I sell a puppy at 8 or 12 weeks to someone on the east coast and it comes in my ring 2 years later..I hate to tell you this but I wont recognize it. In most cases, we have no idea (other than the Bred by class) where these dogs are from and we shouldn't have to worry about it nor what is being thought out side the ring. I pay no attention to doubling, unless I see that it is doing an injustice to the dog or disruptive to the other dogs in my ring. We have 2 minutes per dog to make a decision. The exhibitors have paid quite a price for that 2 minutes and deserve to have it. Judi Bendt **************It's Tax Time! Get tips, forms, and advice on AOL Money & Finance.
