For as long as I can remember that is the way the premium lists for our three
clubs have always been worded. In fact, if you look at the entry form for the
National Specialty you will also see that there is no entry fee required for
Jr. Showmanship provided the dog is entered in another class.
Until this thread started, nobody has ever complained. I checked an all-breed
premium list and found that they charge the regular entry fee for Jr.
Showmanship; if the dog is entered in a regular class, they allow Jr.
Showmanship as an additional entry with a big $2 discount.

Thank you for clearing this up...I thought it was not a AKC rule...so."we do
require" means it was the Triangle clubs that decided this.
