Except for a silly comment about only going to a national if I could ride my
bicycle there, I have not commented on sites. I have only gone to one
National, and that probably will be my only one (except for the foregoing
bicycle
comment:-)
But about the diehards. The diehards are aging, and while I know they will
go wherever the National is held (bless them), they ARE aging.
Putting the emphasis on the performance venues may help. Publicize them
more, give them more stature and the right arenas for their events. If if
can
be done in the Schutzhund world (old story)... People are traveling across
the oceans to compete in Agility, Schutzhund, other performance events.
Perhaps it won't matter if the National is held every year in Maine, if the
prestige of competing is reward enough.
Just my opinion, and as some wise person once said, "If You don't attend or
compete in, the National, should you voice an opinion?" (That was about
judges, but) Hmmmmm
Back to about what I DO know and have opinions.
