And from the cost breakdown shown in the BOD communication, Albany, OR and
Colorado both made money! Why not consider them as a replacement for
Reno??? The Aussies are holding their National Specialty in Albany the
first week of September.

Theresa - I will tell you hat happened out here when the National was in
Oregon.
There was a sudden increase in former exhibitors who became interested
again. There were scout troops who went after hearing about it. There were
4-Hers who went. There was a noticeable uptick in visits to the GSDC of
Oregon's website and emails and phone calls asking for information. It was
real easy to tell people to come down and watch the show and they did.
Membership in the club increased. I know one of our puppy buyers a couple
of years later got a GSD because the family went to watch the show. It was
easy to do programs and end with come to Albany and see the best in the
country.
I guess you could do the same thing at Purina every year but that spill
over effect will not reach here for sure. I know plenty of people here who
can't make it to St Louis.
