Dear Listers,
On Donna Sater's request, Jim and I are letting you know that Robert Scholes is
dying from cancer. His cancer is in most of his major organs as well as tumors
in his brain.
This came on very suddenly and if any of you would like to say 'hello', sooner
than better would be our advice. Robert is quite awake, quite lucid and at
home.
If you would like to send Robert or Donna an e'mail, please use Donna's address
and she will print them out for him:

It will do Robert a world of good to hear from his old friends and maybe read
some funny stories. Jim and I spent the weekend with them last weekend and we
will be getting back out in a few days.
Donna is on this list and will be so supported to read kind words. Jim and I
have been friends of theirs for over 30 years for Jim and probably 25 years for
me. Donna gave me Ch. Saterhaus Invader - Vader. Robert gave Jim Este
(Laredo's dam).
They've been such good friends to us and many, many of you. This is a
difficult time.
