this is true.  i had a 2 year old rescue whose windpipe was so damaged he 
could not be entubated for surgery.  personally, i have a problem with prong 
collars BUT my biggest problem is that they, like (as kathy pointed out) any 
other 
collar, when used by those who are clueless as to how to PROPERLY use the 
equipment, can do serious damage.
