When I was on the board, in the old days when all the notes were on
parchment, I was in charge of the Juniors program. I found I had to call a
parent to
get someone nominated. I do believe that if no one wants to nominate for an
award, maybe it is time to retire it.
Perhaps by having less awards, those that have import will be more
important. I am sorry to lose the Hero Dog Award, our dogs are heroes to us
every day,
and perhaps none stand out.
