If some board members voted the way they they did because they felt the club
and their self personally were threatened,
Jim then they voted under duress and the vote should be redone after they are
properly informed as to our insurance coverage and our legal protection. All
three Lawyers( the two on the board) and Even think we have nothing to fear
from a lawsuit. Dan Smith says that board members are covered personally. They
should vote again and stand for this club and more importantly all dogs.

I don't know about "retake" but this board has in the past, voted to
overturn a decision made in the past. That includes the Conditional Class,
the limit
on Selects, and when I was on the board, the weighted ballot. The weighted
ballot was passed on two different votes, as required. Then Ralph Roberts
aske
d at a third meeting, that it be voted on again, and it was defeated. Then
later another board voted to institute it, again. Our board does have the
right to vote on an issue previously decided, and change the outcome.
This board, either in Executive Session, or what seems more in keeping with
our practices, at the next meeting vote again on this membership. By then
there should be plenty of time to consider what was done, what information
was
proper, and what might have been a misunderstanding. It will be up to a board
member to call for a new vote.
That seems the easiest way to handle it, but pending that, I know this board
is working to find solutions to a difficult problem. I continue to have
faith in our board members, all of them.
