AND..........therein lies the problem why members are not hearing from the
Board!!
It does not mean we were all in agreement ....nor persuaded..... nor controlled!
BUT....we were informed and warned that we could NOT under any circumstance
break
the confidentiality of the meeting!!! Some of us are not happy with that
either.......

Dear members it is the responsibility of the Board to effectively run the
club, meeting deadlines
in the Bylaws and to follow the rules whether they are in the Bylaws or
Roberts on issues not
covered by the Bylaws- please refer to Roberts Rules regarding trials of
members-they
ARE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION- Peggy's version of Robert's is somewhat
different than what
I have read. The accused is entitled to a trial and representation by an
attorney. The attorney
must be a club member. Executive Session is kept confidential to protect
open discussion, the
protection is for the accused and the society, i.e. the Club. The
attorney, the accused and all
involved can be punished for violating the confience of a closed session. The
trial is informal,
allowing hearsay evidence but providing for cross examination by both sides.
The burden of
proof is that the those deliberating must have a moral conviction of the
facts. A vote of guilt
requires a two thirds margin. We don't make the rules. There will be a notice
sent to the
members but by the requirements of Roberts we cannot say much. Kris
