Hi, Kathy. You're right about delayed trauma. I just stuck the baby in a shoe box and left him alone so I wouldn't stress him further. Now that it's been several hours, I'm going to see if he'll take in a little nourishment. Thanks for wishing me luck. BTW, I read the post about your dogs eating little critters. You brought up a good point about parasites... A year ago, one of my GSDs ate Raccoon poop and became infested with a Raccoon round worm. She became very ill. The only thing that clued the vet into her problem, was she had an extraordinarily high eosinophil count. These Raccoon round worms are infecting children too.
