Sorry that there are no shows this time but will look forward to your joint
days with Sacramento Club. 4 Shows sounds so terrific and know you will

Although we will not have a show this year (first weekend in Sept), we have
been discussing the new AKC Guidelines with our neighbor Club to the West,
The Sacramento GSDC -
I am really exicted about this plan and what it might mean to both clubs and
to the exhibitors, handlers and fancy as a whole............
We are going to cancel our weekend dates with AKC and change them to the
same weekend as Sacramento. Sacramento has the first weekend in April and
the weather in Sac. is usually great (this last April excepting!). We will
use the new AKC guidelines that broadens our distance of shows from home
city from 50 miles to 200 miles, and which also allows for two shows on one
day. We will join the Sacramento club for FOUR (4) shows on that
weekend.(pending AKC approval).
For those who feel that is too many shows to enter - enter as many or as few
as you would like.
For those who feel that makes for too long of a day - remember when the
entry was twice what it is today.
And remember that we are attempting to attract new participants so the entry
will be larger and stop falling. This might be one way to help move together
and change direction of our number of entries. Who knows???
We have had a number of people apply to join the German Shepherd Dog Club of
Reno in the past couple of weeks. I have not deposited your checks while I
attempted to resolve our show this year and our future. Now that those
eventualities are clear, I want to say a big thanks to everyone who has
rallied around to help us. We will survive. However, it occured to me that
many might have joined and sent their check specifically with the
expectation that we would have a show this year. If that is the case, please
let me know and I will gladly return your check. I certainly do not want any
cloud of unmet expectations. I am very serious about that. Please let me
know.
If, on the other hand you choose to remain as an applicant, I will deposit
the checks, issue the certificates and join you in looking forward to some
exciting days ahead in this new venture and schedule.
